Hoy Toca

Hoy Toca is an event discovery platform built to connect people in the Dominican Republic with local activities, concerts, festivals, and experiences happening around them. Next.js was chosen for its powerful data fetching patterns, enabling efficient loading of dynamic event listings while maintaining strong SEO for event discovery. Tailwind CSS accelerated UI development with its utility-first approach, making it straightforward to build a consistent, responsive design system. Framer Motion added the personality and polish expected from a consumer-facing discovery app, with smooth filtering interactions and engaging card animations.
